"Duet for the Community"... We did it!
The Fox Valley Music Teachers Association is thrilled to announce that our "Community Piano Project" campaign is a success! With an incredible amount of support from the community, over $40,000 was raised in order to create a public performance space in Appleton, by purchasing a Concert Grand Piano for community use in the Appleton Public Library!
A Yamaha C6 grand piano was purchased for community use, from Heid Music Company in downtown Appleton, and delivered to the Appleton Public library in January 2013.

FVMTA would like to extend an invitation for the public
to join us for the piano's "Grand Entrance" event at the Appleton
Public Library, on March 24th, 2013, from 2:00 - 4:00pm.
The
event will be an open house event to enjoy refreshments and hear the
first public performance on the new Yamaha C6! Performances to include:
2:00 - 2:30pm Bruce Koestner 2:30 - 3:00pm Steven Spears, tenor & Linda Sparks, piano 3:00 - 3:15pm Dedication Ceremony 3:15 - 3:45pm John Harmon 3:45 - 4:00pm Open Mic -- all invited to bring music
